Methodist Free Cafe We offer a free meal to the Centralia community on the last Wednesday of every month.  The meal is prepared fresh each month and everyone is welcome to join us.  We begin serving at 5pm and continue through 7pm. 

 

Emmaus Community has quarterly meetings.

 

Emmaus Reunion Groups meet weekly.

 

Jack In The Box Pre-School uses our facilities during the school year with four different sessions.

 

McDonald's Fellowship Dinners Every Wednesday of each month (except the last Wednesday when we have the Free Cafe), we meet at McDonald's restaurant, on Highway 22, at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

 

Girl Scouts Troops 743, 266, 34, 35, 802, and 433 meet on Monday evenings - 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Do you need an oil change or know of someone who does?  CUMC has a new ministry that provides free oil changes to those in our community who cannot afford them.  We fund this ministry with our noisy offerings.  If you've never seen a noisy offering, you must come join us on Sunday mornings.  A big old oil can is passed around and we dig through our pockets for loose change.  We make sure that we shake the can so that it makes a lot of noise.

School Supply Give-away

Every August just before the start of school, we offer school supplies for our community if you need help filling the long list the schools put out.

We maintain a full stock of all items throughout the school year.  Check out the calendar page on our website for dates in August or call the church office at 682-3743 for more information.

 

Free Garage Sales

A couple of times each year, we have a garage sale in our Fellowship Hall at the church.  We do not put prices on the items you will find there, we only offer them for sale.  You set the price!!!  Whatever you can pay is accepted.  We always have good, slightly used items that you may have been needing, but could not afford to buy new.  Check our Calendar page or call the church office for more information at 573-682-3434.  Donation of items  are always welcomed, we only ask that they be in working order or slightly used.  Proceeds are used for our mission/outreach programs.

 

Anchorfest Weekend

The City of Centralia hosts the AnchorFest during the first weekend of June every year.  AnchorFest is a town celebration of its' history around Chance Co. and the invention of the "anchor" you see at the end of every guidewire on every electric pole.  The main celebration is around our citys' town square with a full carnival of rides for all ages, plenty of craft booths, and a wide variety of food booths.  

Our church has a booth where we highlight one of our Vital Ministries--PET.  At the same booth, we offer free cold water and a free diaper changing station.
